Unkindest Cut

Set inside a shipping container Unkindest Cut is intimate and intricate. Interweaving classical Indian dance, spoken word and film with an interactive light and sound installation the work responds to the complex issues around young people and mental health. It integrates their voices and stories into the heart of the work to create a world that is emotionally rich and sensitive whilst offering a safe space for audiences to reflect and engage with.

Unkindest Cut is a collaboration with audio visual artists Kathy Hinde and Matthew Olden and lighting designer Aideen Malone, and developed in association with Consultant Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr Partha Banerjea and the South London and Maudsley Adolescent Mental Health Services.
