The Software
the software is a max8 patch, to use it download MAX here
max will run in demo mode, but wil let you use the software , theres a couple of max patches in there, the app is called ” cv_wave_builder2.maxpat “
The CV lead
You need special floting tip leads for it to work! normal leads wont work!

The Soundcard
In order to send a CV voltage you need to go from a DC- coupled audio card.
I’m using a MOTU 828 mk2 , which can give you up to 20 outs, and are really cheap on Ebay

Software Hints and Tips
Use any sound wave as a control frequency!
click replace , load your sound wave , change speed to original length (of your sound-wave ) in seconds.
Speed works as seconds rather than Hz!
designed to give infinitely long control waves , click up and mouse up/down on the number box to change speed. If a fraction is needed click down on the right of the number box.
Save your wave!
By default the latest wave you make is saved in the folder “wave” as wave.wav , but by clicking write you can save it of with a unique name ( which then can be reloaded from the drop down menu on the green wave player).
Use Other Scales!
Drop a folder of Scala scales on top of the choose a scale drop down menu.if you want to find out more about the Scala format look here
Speed all waves form up or down at the same set rations!
input a number to multiply all the set frequencies by clicking in the total speed up number box
