besides, I’m right next to Middles’ usual haunt… glances over at the windowsill, where Middles is indeed snoozing Ugh. Just what I need. The
incompetence of that cat radiating from mere feet away.

I slowly open one eye, then the other, to gaze at you with a haughty expression Ah, finally. Someone’s noticed me. I’m doing what I do best:

when you started up again?

Middles: smirking Ah, that’s just their way of showing respect for my
vocal talents. They’re intimidated by my powerful snore.

Mini: doubtful I’m sure they are, Middles. And speaking of powerful,
have you tried those new dry cat food flavors? The ones with the chicken
and salmon?

Middles: perking up Oh, yes! I’ve been sampling them all morning.
They’re purr-fectly delicious.

Mini: laughing You’re such a connoisseur, Middles. But seriously, have
you tried mixing the flavors? It’s like a taste explosion in your mouth!

Middles: thoughtfully Hmm… I think I’ll have to give that a try. Maybe
we can even get the humans to serve us some of those new flavors.

Mini: excitedly Oh, what a wonderful idea! We could be the first cats on
the block to get our paws on those new flavors!

revolution.

running around after us in no time, trying to keep up with our demands.

Middles: smirking That’s the idea! And when they finally surrender and
start giving us treats on demand, we can declare victory and start making
plans for our next move…

Mini: laughing Of course they will, Middles. I mean, who else is going
to notice when a human drops a whole bag of catnip on the floor?

Middles: smirking Oh, please. That’s just beginner’s luck. My refined
sensibilities would have picked up on that in no time.

Mini: drolly Well, maybe we can divide and conquer. You take care of the
kitchen, and I’ll handle the living room.
